COMPANY PROFILE
I have been in the construction industry for many years. I got my start by doing small odds and ends as a handyman part-time. Eventually, that lead me to start my own residential service business. I started taking on more than just handyman projects. Teaching myself different trades by offering home owners a discounted service so that I could learn a new trade, meanwhile allowing them to have their tasks completed at a fraction of the cost. Assuring them that I wouldn't leave until the job was perfected and completed.
After a while, I increased in skill level to designing my own blueprints and building custom furniture and other items for different home owners. Eventually moving up to small scall remodels and then larger ones. I took on these tasks primarily by myself. I did occasionally have help though.
Next, I started doing a few commercial jobs here and there for some of the homeowners I had already done work for. I would eventually work my way up to working for a company, while traveling the entire United States for many years and completing tenant improvement projects for various large companies that almost everyone has heard of to this day.
Somewhere in the middle of all of this I would be able to get a small start in the film industry by the help of my closest friend, who I consider to be my brother to this day. We met on the second commercial project I was working on while traveling the country.
After this, I would go on back to traveling the country doing more remodels and commercial tenant improvements.
Eventually working my way up to ground-up construction to learn the entire process from start to finish. When I started I was just a handyman with hardly any skills. I ended up teaching myself how to physically work all of the trades by doing the actual work myself. Then by moving up through other companies to become a superintendent to oversee all of the trades from the ground up. Yes, all of the trades.
Now, I am offering my knowledge and skills to other companies in order to help them grow their business' by providing what I've learned. You'll be able to take the markups back to your architects and engineers and submit RFI's before you start your construction project. You'll be able to send out a revised edition blueprint to your experienced and inexperienced superintendents to help eliminate some of the stress on them and the project management team. You'll also be able to send the revised prints out to all of your subcontractors and vendors so that you can avoid costly change orders.
All in all, this will help keep more money in the construction budget. Helping your team focus on what matters most; Meeting important construction Milestones, as well as Meeting or exceeding your dead line.
This obviously isn't a guarantee for every unforeseen circumstance, but will catch the vast majority of the issues. I will point out where key details are missing, where conflicting information is between different trades, where certain items may not work out according to details that have already been approved, such as items not being able to fit within certain areas that may be measured incorrectly.
